Needless to say, writing has been neglected. I've been too busy living life! If you only have 2 minutes, save this read for later. (We both know you will forget and won't come back - and that's cool too. I'm boring. I ramble on a stupid blog with little to no purpose. You'd think I'd write so my family up home could see what I'm up to... but they don't give a crap either.)
First things first...
BIRTHDAYS (and one homecoming visit)
Really parents? Did you all have to reproduce children so close together?...
February alone threw my checking account in the red... but man were those nights awesome. Here is a quick birthday summary:
Got it? Good.
RUNNING
I have been training for the Mayor's Marathon in Alaska... not as crazy as I should be but I'm getting by just fine! The marathon is 52 days away... WOWZA. I'm up to 16 miles!
(I swear that's me in pink... I don't have a fancy team shirt yet!)
As a result, I decided to reward myself and have a little fun. I'm athletic again - so I forced Andy to do the Warrior Dash with me :) We ran for Lisa.
I am oh so tired... and my feet are barely holding up... but it's been a beautiful ride :)
ASIDE FROM THAT....
I still can't play a song a the guitar (boo!) I'm behind on my articles... like REAL behind. Haven't written for the Examiner in over a month (gah!) but I am trying to get back into the swing. I guess with 3 jobs I didn't have much of a life, so when God gave me a window of fun I jumped out and ran to the next county. It's all good - I will be back on track soon. As for the other two jobs, life is life. There have been ups, downs and paychecks. At the end of the day I'm not starving, and at the end of the night I'm not always sober (channeling my inner Hemingway here). My eyes have been opened to some issues, such as the education system (or what's left of it) in America, so don't be surprised if you are subjected to some soapbox articles in the near future.
UPCOMING EVENTS INCLUDE:
- Alaska
- My Birthday
- Summer
- Taylor Swift Concert
Other than that, just remember: "Life's tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid." - John Wayne
